We've put together a list of our favourite Easter marketing campaigns from brands that went above and beyond for the holiday. We hope they will give you some inspiration for your Easter Marketing campaigns over the next couple of weeks. Now- lets get the eggs rolling.
#1 HOTEL CHOCOLATE BEAU BUNNY MYSTERY
In 2017, Hotel Chocolat's Easter campaign "Find #BeauBunny to win" was one to remember. The idea was that "Beau Bunny" would appear in a photograph in a UK location and if users can name the mystery location the go in the draw to win an Easter hamper. The campaign promoted conversation and engagement across their platforms via the #BeauBunny hashtag and was a great way to capture data on the entrant to assist with their marketing strategies in the future.
#2 MCDONALDS BIG MAC EGG CAMPAIGN:
This McDonalds advertisement is proof to not underestimate the power of keeping it simple. McDonalds know how to do branding well and the golden arches makes this advertisement immediately identifiable.
The shape of an egg suggests to people that this is an Easter advertisement and the caption is a playful way for them to get promotion for the holiday despite not selling a product that is associated with it..
#3 CARLSBERG CHOCOLATE POP UP BAR
Easter is all about chocolate and in 2016, Carlsberg took this quite literally when they created a pop up bar made entirely of chocolate and offering complimentary half pints of Carlsberg in a chocolate glass. The pop up bar included a handcrafted chocolate dartboard, carefully constructed chocolate bar stools and a bespoke chocolate television screen, showcasing one of England’s greatest World Cup moments.
This successful PR campaign took advantage of the smart phone user who has social media access at their finger tips and created something that was memorable for customers to stay top of mind going into a . We did the rest of the advertising by sharing photos of it to our platforms which in turn got the bar more coverage and made the campaign go viral worldwide.
#4 CADBURY LIVE 360 DEGREE FACEBOOK VIDEO
With the majority of people having an account on Facebook, our love of engaging experiences and our smart phones paired with the recent addition of 360 Facebook video to the platform turned out to be engagement gold for Cadbury last year with the brands "Cadbury Live Egg Hunt"
During the one hour live post on Facebook, hunters in Australia searched the animate world looking for Cadbury Easter eggs. The first person to spot an egg and comment was rewarded with real Cadbury chocolates for Easter. The campaign attracted over 70,000 comments.
Great creativity and a great way to become front of mind amongst the community by doing something out of the ordinary.
